Praha – Vyšehrad

Vyšehrad, thought to be the original location of a castle belonging to historic princes of Prague, the Přemyslid dynasty

rotunda sv. Martina, Rotunda of St. Martin, Romanesque Church built at the end of the 11th Century and restored in 1719 and 1848.

bazilika sv. Petra a Pavla, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, founded in the late 11th Century. The original church burnt down and was replaced by another structure in the mid 13th Century. The current building dates from the late 19th Century.







Vyšehrad cemetery, dating from 1869, is the burial place for a large number of famous Czechs, including Antonín Dvořák.
