August 28, 2014 - Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně

Have 5 days of clean clothes, enough to get me to Monday and the airport, so no need for any more sink laundry on this trip!

Morning at Karlovy Vary, including the funicular up to the overlook. After lunch a short side trip to Mariánské Lázně, the other major spa town in this area of northwest Bohemia.

From Sue: Up in the tower Diana above Karlovy Vary. Eric Placek of course is prepared with his binoculars. We rode the tram up, but hiked down the side of the mountain.

From Sue: Traveled south this afternoon. The roads were small cow paths with asphalt on them. Was fun till the bad cheese from lunch decided to kick in....food poisoning! Ahhh...well we made it!
