August, 22, 2014 - Strakonice Festival - Friday

So, Strakonice is a town of about 24,000, not huge. It's difficult to describe what it feels like to have it filled with bagpipe music from various cultures. There are rehearsals, sound checks, and random informal performances going on all over town. You can usually hear at least some music playing pretty much anywhere you are in the city center. A great fix for bagpipe junkies!

Long day at the festival today - left the hotel at 9:00 a. m., got back at 11:00 p. m. Lots of fine music and dancing. Photos later - now to bed, as we have two more festival days ahead, and I need to recharge for tomorrow!
